Pat brings more than 30 years of experience in development communications to eAdvancement, helping clients in higher education, healthcare, human services, and culture make a compelling case and tell the stories that illustrate philanthropy’s impact. In addition to serving as an eAdvancement principal, Pat is president of SteegeThomson Communications, a marketing and communications agency based in Philadelphia serving the nonprofit market. A frequent presenter at CASE and other conferences on the power of brand building, messaging, and development communications, she brings high-level strategic thinking and creative guidance to all phases of campaign communications, from quiet phase to close and every step in between.
Pat has served as campaign communications counsel and creative director for a range of comprehensive campaigns, most recently including The Smithsonian Campaign, the University of Pennsylvania’s Making History, Lafayette College’s Live Connected Lead Change, and Montgomery County Community College’s Futures Rising. Other development communications clients include Temple University, Nazareth College, and Bryn Mawr College as well as Volunteers of America and Youth for Understanding.
Prior to coming to SteegeThomson Communications in 1999, Pat was senior vice present for marketing at the American Cancer Society in Pennsylvania. She holds an undergraduate degree in journalism from Temple University and a Master of Science degree from Drexel University.
